Amino acid capsule contains a blend of creatine, Maca root (Lepidium meyenii), and other nutrients vital to the production and maintenance of energy use for the healthy structure and function of the body, particularly muscular activity. When our body is called upon to produce energy, it relies on compounds such as adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and creatine phosphate. These molecules are used to provide our cells with the “fuel” they need to keep running, especially during times of strenuous exercise. Like ATP, creatine phosphate provides our cells with another source of metabolic energy. Creatine phosphate provides energy for cells during short bursts of extremely strenuous exercise.

Lipoic acid is unique among biological antioxidants, because it is soluble in both water and lipids. This allows it to neutralize free radicals just about everywhere in the body, inside and outside the cells. Because alpha-lipoic acid is involved in so many different antioxidant functions in virtually all body tissues, it has been called the universal antioxidant. Besides being a universal free radical scavenger, alpha-lipoic acid can also recharge other antioxidant systems throughout the body. Also, it can extend the activity of vitamins C and E and regenerate glutathione. Lipoic acid is a nutritional coenzyme that is involved in energy metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates and fats, has physiological functions in blood glucose disposal, and is able to scavenge a number of free radicals. Alpha-lipoic acid is a fat- and water-soluble, sulfur containing coenzyme. It functions in the body much like a B-vitamin, since it is involved in energy production.

Glucosamine capsule included into this comprehensive pack offers glucosamine sulphate, and condroitin to support the maintenance of healthy connective tissue (glucosamine) and cartilage (chondroitin). Glucosamine is a naturally occurring amino sugar found in glycosaminoglycans, integral components of the proteoglycans found in joint cartilage. Proteoglycans are large carbohydrate rich structures that provide resiliency, load distribution, shock absorbing, compressive and lubricating properties to joints and connective tissues. The availability of glucosamine is an integral part of the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans and proteoglycans that are necessary during the constant remodeling that aging cartilage undergoes. Thus, the maintenance of healthy aging cartilage may be improved with enhanced deposition of glycosaminoglycans and proteoglycans. Dietary glucosamine serves as an immediate precursor for glycosaminoglycan synthesis, and also stimulates incorporation of other precursors into the connective tissue matrix. Bioavailability of oral glucosamine sulfate is excellent. It is absorbed intact, and utilized very quickly by all tissues, including connective tissues. Glucosamine sulfate is more efficiently used for connective tissue metabolism than other glucosamine sources.

Hyaluronic acid is found in varying levels in the dermis. Variations in levels account for natural skin alterations associated with aging, such as altered elasticity, decreased hydration and appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid is also a well known antioxidant helping to protect against free radicals attacks.
