• How do your Beauty Doses Work?

• How do supplements work?

  Supplements are taken to complete your diet. At Functionalab, we prioritize good diet, as a good diet is the foundation of health, but supplements still play an important role. The truth is that only about 40% of Americans eat their five servings of fruits and vegetables a day and the typical diet is low in nutrient-rich whole grains and essential fats like omega-3 fats. Our hectic life style leads us to eat processed foods and fast foods that are typically high in energy but low in nutrients.

• Do supplements make a difference?

  Supplements provide you with vitamins, minerals and other essential nutrients that your daily regular daily diet will not provide you with. Supplements are not an excuse for poor dietary habits, but they can be a very useful link to optimal health.

• Are Functionalab products tested for various allergies?

  Functionalab labels list the allergens as required by law. In the US, we are required to list ingredients that contain one of the 8 major allergens (e.g. milk, fish, nuts, soy, etc.). It is important to carefully read the label to make sure that you can take our products.

• Are Functionalab products adequate for Vegetarians or Vegans?

  It depends on how strict you are following your vegetarian or vegan diet. Please note that if a gelatin capsule is used (indicated as "gelatin capsule") it is from bovine. We list fish gelatin as well. If you are looking for vegetarian capsules, these are from plant cellulose and it will be indicated on the label.

• Are the products Gluten-free?

  Functionalab products are not specifically tested for gluten. However, gluten is not added to our products. In general, most products would not be known to contain gluten.

• What happens when I take your products for hair, skin and nails?

  Our Hair, Skin & Nails products are a synergistic combination of nutrients and extracts that support the fortification, repair and revitalization of hair, skin and nails. They provide the elements to support healthy growth of hair and nails particularly.

• Is there a specific age to take Anti-Age 40+?

  It is recommended to drink the Liquid dose all at once.

• Should I refrigerate the Liquid Dose?

  Functionalab Liquid Doses taste even better when served cold, but can be stored at room temperature as long as they are not opened. Once opened, they should be refrigerated.

• What does Beauty Liquid Dose do to my skin?

  It provides you with a combination of strong antioxidants that protects the skin against free radical attacks.

• What's the difference between drinking a Zen Tonic versus an herbal tea?
